Globetrotter's AirTran Airways University program (called the "A2B
Program") requires that tickets be booked and purchased through
Globetrotter Travel. Travelers and travel arrangers must identify the
travelers as University of Maryland employees, students, or affiliates
(travel companions, accompanying family, etc.) at the time of booking.
The Globetrotter/AirTran Airways University "A2B" program features:
- 5% discount off ALL fares for business or personal travel
- Free name changes on all fares
- Advance and free seat assignments on all fares
- Free same-day standby travel (for A2B ticketed passengers)
- At BWI Airport, University A2B ticketed passengers may use the
"corporate check-in" line (the Business Class line) to save time
- At BWI Airport, priority boarding ("Zone 1" regardless of seat number)
- Free change fees on regular coach fares
- Fully refundable fares on regular coach fares
AirTran Airways also offers a student discount program for students
18-22 years of age (called U Fares). These one-way fares range from
$69 to $89 per segment.
