University of Maryland Amtrak Program
University of Maryland Corporate Rates
- The University of Maryland corporate rates apply to employees of the University of Maryland
using Amtrak Acela Express Service for business or personal
travel. Tickets must be purchased through the University
Contract Travel Agencies.
- University rates for both Acela Express Business Class travel between the following travel segments, subject to the terms
and conditions set forth in the full agreement. For full details, contact University
Contract Travel Agencies - Globetrotter, Omega World Travel (Greenbelt,
Baltimore, or Columbia, MD) or Travel-On.
- 10 % discount on Acela Express Business Class travel
on the following travel segments:
- MetroPark NJ, Newark NJ, and New York NY to/from Boston MA (South and
Back Bay Stations), Route 128 MA, and Providence RI.
- 25% discount on Acela Express Business Class travel on
the following segments:
- Boston MA (South and Back Bay Stations), Route 128 MA, and Providence
RI to/from Philadelphia PA, Wilmington DE, Baltimore MD, BWI MD, and Washington DC.
- Stamford CT and New Haven CT, to/from Baltimore, BWI, and Washington DC.
- New York NY, Newark NJ, and Metropark NJ to/from and
Washington DC.
- The special fares may not be used in conjunction with any other Amtrak
promotion, discount, or special offer.
University of Maryland Government Rates
- The government discount rate is available for official travel between most city pairs
in the Northeast corridor, including Baltimore or Washington to New
York's Penn Station or Boston.
- Reservations may be made by contacting a University
Contract Travel Agency OR directly with Amtrak.
- When making reservations directly with Amtrak, University of Maryland employees must identify themselves
as State of Maryland employees.
- When claiming tickets for reservations made directly with Amtrak, employees must present
University of Maryland photo identification at the ticket counter.
- The special fares may not be used in conjunction with any other Amtrak
promotion, discount, or special offer.
