The Office of the Director coordinates all operational and administrative activities of the Department.

IT Services supports the mission of Department of Business Services units by developing systems for business intelligence and analytics. IT Services also develops and manages data transfer systems to interface with other University departments and external contractors, including ensuring compliance with data specifications in University contracts. In addition, IT Services designs, administers, and maintains IT systems, and oversees the administration, operation, backup, and support of IT resources and systems. IT Services is responsible for developing and implementing business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT security plans to ensure the reliability, security, and availability of critical University data.

Business Operations is responsible for providing business support services for the Department. Services provided by this unit include: general accounting, payroll, invoice processing, service chargeback, and financial analysis and reporting.

Human Resources responsibilities include employee relations, employment, classification, benefits coordination, performance management, health and safety, training, new employee orientation program, formulation of job descriptions, recruitment of employees, and Departmental employment searches, diversity initiatives, and parking activities.
